Germany has named their 25-player roster for the 2026 IIHF women's World Championships scheduled to take place in Denmark from November 6-16.

Germany was first out of the gate naming their final roster ahead of the 2026 IIHF women's World Championships in Denmark.

"We are very happy to be back in Bremerhaven. We received a warm welcome from the ice hockey fans here during the 2025 Olympic qualification and had a successful time on the ice. Therefore, Bremerhaven is a good place for us to start our World Championship journey. We are preparing for the challenge with two international matches against Japan and Denmark. We have good relationships and mutual respect with both nations. These two games are a good opportunity for us to test our strategies and finalize the details for the World Championship. After our summer training camps and the games so far, we have an exciting mix in our team. Most of the players were already on the Olympic roster, and we also have some young talents as well as experienced players, all of whom have been vying for a place on the World Championship team."

In net Sandra Abstreiter returns as Germany's starter. She spent last season with the PWHL's Montreal Victoire and this season is projected as Hamilton's backup. Behind Abstreiter will be Lisa Hemmerle and Chiara Schultes.

The blueline features a mix of veterans and youth with Daria Gleissner, Ronja Hark, Hanna Hoppe, Tabea Botthof, Nina Jobst-Smith, Tara Schmitz, Carina Strobel, and Hanna Weichenhain named to the roster. Jobst-Smith is the lone PWHL defender on the roster, as she'll prepare to play for PWHL Detroit this season.
