    Japan was the top finisher at the Four Nations Cup held in Budapest, Hungary this week. Japan beat Hungary and Slovakia, while narrowly falling to France. 

    Japan beat Hungary 2-1 and Slovakia 9-0, but fell 2-1 to France. The Japanese squad was led by Akane Shiga who had two goals and three points, and her sister Aoi Shiga who had a goal and two assists. Haruka Toko, one of the top scorers in Sweden's SDHL finished with two goals.

    The host Hungarian squad fell to Japan, but beat France 2-0 and Slovakia 4-0, while France beat Slovakia 6-1 and Japan 2-1. 

    Fanni Garat-Gasparics was Hungary’s top scorer in the tournament with a goal and two assists. Taylor Baker, Emma Kreisz, Regina Metzler, and Lotti Odnoga all had a pair of points for Hungary, while Estelle Duvin and Lisa Cedelle were France's top producers with three points each, followed by Chloe Aurard who had a pair.
