Midland University head coach Jason White has been named head coach for the ACHA roster that will represent Team USA at the 2027 Universaide in China.
The ACHA has named Jason White, head coach at Midland University, as the head coach of Team USA's university team roster for the 2027 Universaide, also referred to as the FISU World University Games, in China.
White has served as head coach at Midland University since the 2017-18 season winning ACHA Women's Coach of the Year three times in that span, and guided Midland to the program's first ever ACHA Division I national championship in 2025-26.
White has led Midland to a 209-89-15 record over his tenure, which has included seven trips to the ACHA national tournament.
A Canadian himself, from Sittsville, Ontario, White now considers Nebraska home after attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha, coaching with the program, and also serving as coach and director for Omaha AAA Hockey's U-18 team.
Joining White with Team USA will be assistant coach Hannah Griffin. Griffin is the head coach for the University of Jamestown women's hockey team guiding the Jimmies to their first ever national tournament appearance in 2025-26. Griffin and White worked together previously at Midland University where she was an assistant coach prior to being hired by the University of Jamestown. Previously, Griffin held the head coaching role at Adrian College, which is also her alma mater.
