Anneke Linser, a five season standout with the University of Minnesota-Duluth has signed with Djurgardens in the SDHL. The former U-18 national team member scored 17 goals and 30 points in 39 games as a senior.

“During the spring, we were looking for a forward to complete the squad, and now that the opportunity arose, we felt it was time to act,” said Djurgården's Johan Schillgard. “With Anneke, we get a player who is the right age for our plan and future. She also has an attitude on the ice that really appeals to us.”

Linser had previously signed to play in the PHF with the Metropolitan Riveters prior to the acquisition of the league in June.

“She is a two-way forward, a great forechecker with a long reach and is very effective around the net,” said Riveters head coach Venla Hovi at the time of the signing. “She thinks the game well and is therefore smart positionally and shares the puck with poise.”

Former Riveters signees Lauren Dabrowski and Naomi Rogge have also signed in Sweden. Other college players who were headed to the PHF are also soon to be announced in the SDHL.
