
Nela Lopusanova has been named MVP at the women's U-18 World Championships for the second time, while Chloe Primerano, last year's MVP, took home Best Defender.

For the second time in her career, Nela Lopusanova has been named tournament MVP at the U-18 World Championships.
The Directorate named Czechia netminder Daniela Novakova Best Goaltender, while they named Chloe Primerano of Canada Best Defender, and USA's Bella Fanale Best Forward.
It's the second time in her career Lopusanova has been named tournament MVP. She was also MVP at the 2023 tournament. As a 2008 born player, Lopusanova has another season of eligibility at the U-18 level remaining.
Canada's Stryker Zablocki led the tournament in goals and points recording eight goals and 12 points in six games en route to winning a goal medal for Canada. Zablocki scored her final goal of the tournament in Canada's 3-0 gold medal victory.
The media All-Stars for the tournament included USA's Mogan Stickney in net, defenders Chloe Primerano (Canada), and Megan Healy (USA), and forwards Stryker Zablocki (Canada), Nela Lopusanova (Slovakia), and Bella Fanale (USA).
Primerano was the leading scorer on the blueline in the tournament with 10 points. The Canadian captain leaves the U-18 level as the tournament's all-time leading scorer by a defender with 26 points in only 12 games.
Eight members of Canada's gold medal winning roster will be eligible to return next season, although Zablocki, who will play for Northeastern University and Primerano, who is already in the NCAA with Minnesota, will not be among them.
Alongside Zablocki, Primerano, and Lopusanova, Maxine Cimeroni and Cailleigh Tiller of Team Canada were the other players in the event to score 10 or more points.
Czechia took the bronze medal in the event with captain Linda Vocetkova leading the way scoring seven points in six games. Daniela Novakova of Czechia who was named the top goaltender by the Directorate finished fourth among netminders in save percentage and goals against average. USA's Morgan Stickney allowed only four goals in the tournament, posting a 0.67 GAA and .957 save percentage to lead the tournaemnt.
