

Stephanie Neatby and Nicole Hall were key performers in the second night of SDHL action in the 2023-2024 season. Frolunda and Djurgardens both improved to 2-0 on the season.
Stephanie Neatby made 26 saves to help keep Frolunda perfect in their first season in the SDHL.
Hanna Olsson scored in her second straight game grabbing the game winner, while Felizia Wikner Zienkiewicz scored the insurance marker in the win.
Frolunda earned promotion from Sweden's NDHL last season and have a star studded roster. The six-foot Neatby is in her fourth season in Sweden after a spectacular NCAA career with Princeton, and a silver medal as a member of Canada's U-18 national team.
Nicole Hall scored a hat trick for Djurgardens who beat Brynas 4-2 to open their season with back to back wins. The 19-year-old Hall only registered five goals last season, but has four through her first two games this year. Hana Haasova had the other Djurgardens goal.
On the losing side, Noemi Neubauerova scored her first career professional goal, while Fanni Gasparics, who signed a short term contract with Brynas picked up a pair of assists.
After a relatively even contest in the opening two frames between SDE and HV71, SDE used a four goal third period to break things open.
Elin Svensson and Naomi Rogge traded a pair of goals each for HV71 and SDE respectively before HV71 took the lead early in the third. Following a tying goal from Gabby Jones, it was all SDE with Maree Dijkema, Shae Demale, and Lauren Dabrowski each scoring to cap a 6-3 win.
It was a balanced scoring game as Linkoping topped Leksands 6-3 in the other SDHL game on the schedule this week.
Haruka Toku led the way with a goal and three assists for Linkoping, while German forward Franziska Feldmeier scored her first career SDHL goal.
