    Noemi Neubauerová

According to team sources, forward Noemi Neubauerová has signed a one-year deal to return to EV Zug of the SWHL, where she played part of last season. She was drafted by the Toronto Sceptres in 2024 and played 20 games with the team, but was moved to the reserve roster by the end of the season.

Last year, Neubauerová played nine games with EVZ and recorded four goals and four assists for eight points. Coach Daniella Diaz says, “We're very pleased that Noemi will be joining our team next season. Both our young and experienced players can benefit from her valuable experience."

The 25-year old Czech played at Colgate University in the NCAA for four years, followed by one season with Providence College, and one season with Brynäs IF of the Swedish League. She has also been part of the national Czech team at the World Championships and the Olympics previously.

“I’m beyond excited to be joining such a great organization,” said Neu “Being part of it last year, I remember the fans being absolutely electric and I just really enjoyed my time there.”

Her departure signals a possible shift of European skaters leaving the PWHL and returning to the SDHL or other leagues where they will receive more playing time and a greater opportunity to be selected by their national teams ahead of the 2026 Olympics. We’ve already seen goaltender Klara Peslarova depart Boston as a free agent.
