Maja Nylen Persson has been named the 2023-2024 SDHL Defender of the Year. The Brynas captain has won the SDHL's top defender award three straight seasons.
Nylen Persson led all blueliners in points this season with 38 in 36 games for Brynas.
The 23-year-old right shot defender is set to enter the PWHL Draft this season. Persson also represented Sweden at the IIHF Women's World Championships being named a top three player on the team.
Nylen Persson has represented Sweden at five World Championships and two Olympic Games.
