PHF All-Star Anna Kilponen Signs In Switzerland

Anna Kilponen, a standout with the PHF's Metropolitan Riveters last season has signed in Switzerland with the ZSC Lions.

All-star defender Anna Kilponen who spent last season with the PHF's Metropolitan Riveters has signed in Switzerland with the ZSC Lions.

"We're happy to have another strong defender on the roster in Anna, "head coach Angela Frautschi said in a ZSC release.

“Anna will also be able to contribute her many years of international experience to the team," added Angelika Weber, head of the Lionesses.

Kilponen had 12 points in 24 games last season in the PHF, representing Team World at the PHF all-star event.

Previously, Kilponen represented Team Finland at multiple international competitions including the World Championships and Olympic Games. The 28-year-old left shot blueliner is a grad of Quinnipiac in the NCAA. She's entering her fifth season of professional women's hockey.
