Hilary Knight will step on the ice for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics knowing they will be her last. Knight, who will be 36 when the Olympics open, told USA Today that 2026 will be her final Olympics no matter the outcome.

“It’s time. I have grown up in this program and it’s just given me so much. I’m at peace," Knight told USA Today. "I just have this feeling that it’s time. And I’m grateful that — hopefully I can stay healthy and everything — I can go out when I’d like to be done. That is such a privilege that only a handful of competitors get.”

Knight is USA's all-time scoring leader, and is the all-time leader in both goals and points at the IIHF World Championships. In 87 career games at Worlds, Knight has 67 goals and 120 points. That comes with 10 gold medals and five silver medals at the event, where she's been named Best Forward twice, and an All-Star four times.

At the Olympics, Knight has one gold and three silver. Knight has 27 points in 22 career games for USA at the Olympics.

She was also the inaugural winner of the IIHF's Female Player of the Year Award in 2023.

Hilary Knight is currently the captain of the PWHL's Boston Fleet, where she tied for the league lead in scoring this season with 29 points.
