
Sweden punched their ticket to the 2026 Olympics in Milano Cortina beating Denmark 5-0 to win Group H in Olympic Qualifying.

Sweden put in a dominant performance in Group H qualifying action in Gavle, Sweden to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina. Sweden outscored their opponents 15-0 in three games to claim top spot.
After beating Norway 3-0 and the Netherlands 8-0, it all came down to a final game against also undefeated Denmark to earn a single spot into the Olympic Games.
Denmark entered the final game with a 2-0 record after beating the Netherlands and Norway by identical 3-1 marks.
In the deciding game, Sweden kept Denmark pinned in their zone for almost the entirety of the contest. Jenna Raunio opened and closed the scoring for Sweden in their 5-0 win. The teenage defender will play for Ohio State in the NCAA next season.
In the second period, veteran forward Lisa Johansson scored a pair herself. In the third, it continued to be all Sweden as Sara Hjalmarsson scored her tournament leading third goal beating Denmark's Emma-Sofie Nordstrom. Raunio capped the scoring to make it 5-0.
Boston Fleet goaltender Emma Soderberg didn't face much work turning aside all 11 shots she faced. Nordstom was under attack in Denmark's net the entire game turning aside 51 of the 56 shots she faced.
The win puts Sweden into the 2026 Olympics alongside host Italy, Canada, USA, Czechia, Finland, and Switzerland, as well as Japan who qualified by winning Group G this week.
