

Switzerland opened their 4 Nations Cup hosted on home soil with a pair of wins over France and Hungary looking sharp.
In their opening game against Hungary, the Swiss fell behind quickly as Fanni Gasparics finished on the powerplay to give Team Hungary a 1-0 lead. Switzerland's stars responded however as Alina Muller scored a goal and an assist, and Lara Stalder put in a goal and two assists to lead the comeback. Ivana Maria Wey and Lisa Ruedi also scored in the 4-1 victory.
In their second game, Switzerland beat France in an identical 4-1. Lara Stalder added to her totals duplicating her goal and two assist outcome from game one, putting her tournament totals at six points through two games. Noemi Ryhner, Muller, and Wey had singles for the Swiss. Estelle Duvin had the lone goal for France.
Germany struggled through their first two games losing to both France and Hungary. Facing Hungary, Aniko Nemeth posted the shutout for the Hungarians in a 4-0 decision. Gasparics scored, as did Regina Metzler, while Zsófia Pázmándi, who is set to make her NCAA DIII debut this year with SUNY-Plattsburgh scored a pair.
Justine Crousy Theode posted the shutout for France over Germany in a 1-0 game, where Lore Baudrit was the only player to beat Germany's Sandra Abstreiter in the win.
The 4 Nations Cup comes to a close Saturday as Switzerland plays Germany and France plays Hungary.
