Switzerland has named their first national team roster of the 2026-27 women's hockey season ahead of their home stop on the Women's Euro Hockey Tour slated for Augsut 19-22 in Kloten. It's also the first roster under new head coach Shannon Miller.

After winning bronze at the 2026 Olympics, Switzerland enters on a high with a mix of veterans and young talent.

Leading the way with Switzerland are captain Lara Stalder, who enters with the most international experience of any player on the roster. Switzerland's roster is bolstered by a growing number of PWHL players including goaltender Andrea Brändli (Detroit), forward Alina Müller (Hamilton), goalie Saskia Mauer (Las Vegas), and defender Nicole Vallario (New Yorrk).

Switzerland however, will be without some of their top veterans, including the nation's best defender and SC Bern captain Lara Christen who announced her retirement from the national program along with Shannon Sigrist, Emma Ingold, Lena-Marie Lutz, Kaleigh Quennec, and Lisa Rüedi.

Alongside new head coach Shannon Miller, Switzerland announced several changes to their coaching staff including former Finnish national team member and new assistant coach Saara Kivenmäki (nee Tuominen), video coach Remo Egger, and performance coach Corsin Camichel.

"I'm really looking forward to getting to know the players and staff personally," said Miller in a translated statement. "The Women's Euro Hockey Tour is an important step on our road to the World Championship in November. We want to continue developing at our home tournament and set some important initial benchmarks for our joint work."

Switzerland will kick off their tournament hosting Sweden on August 19, while Finland will face Czechia. On August 21 Switzerland plays Finland, while Czechia takes on Sweden, followed by the inal day of action August 22 with Finland taking on Sweden and Switzerland taking on Czechia.

Joining Brändli and  Maurer in net for the tournament will be Monja Wagner (Union College). The blueline features Vallario, Alizée Aymon (SC Bern), Alessia Baechler (Northeastern), Mara Frey (EV Zug), Elena Gaberell (HC Davos), Nina Harju (EV Zug), Laure Mériguet (Genève-Servette), and Alena Lynn Rossel (HC Davos).

Up front with Müller and Stalder are Leoni Balzer (HC Davos), Rahel Enzler (EV Zug), Naemi Herzig (Holy Cross), Sinja Leemann (SC Bern), Jael Manetsch (EV Zug), Alina Marti (EV Zug), Norina Müller (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Lara Stalder (EV Zug), Livia Tschannen (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Luisa Waser (EV Zug), Ivana Wey (Northeastern), and Laura Zimmermann (St. Cloud).
