
USA Hockey has announced their 25 player roster that will compete at the 2024 U-18 World Championships in Zug, Switzerland.

USA Hockey has announced their 25-player roster for the 2024 IIHF U-18 World Championships in Zug, Switzerland.
Among the players named to USA's roster includes seven returning players from the 2023 bronze medal winning team, including Kendra Distad, Rose Dwyer, Bella Fanale, Megan Healy, Layla Hemp, Maggie Scannell, and Josie St. Martin. For Scannell and St. Martin, this will be their third times representing USA at the U-18 World Championships.
“We’re excited about our team and look forward to competing for a gold medal in Switzerland,” said Liz Keady Norton, USA's head coach. “It is always challenging to settle on a final roster, but we really like the group we have and know they’ll represent our country extremely well.”
Last season was the first time in U-18 tournament his, a 15-year span, that Team USA did not compete for a gold medal. With a strong group of incoming newcomers to the program, USA will look to undo that anomaly.
Among the new players named to Team USA includes four of 2008 born players in Mary Derrenbacher, Margaret Averill, Natalia Dilbone, and Haley Box.
The team will also rely on club chemistry bringing five members of the East Coast Wizards, four from Shattuck St. Mary's, and three each from Minnetonka High School and Bishop Kearney.
