Team USA played three and won three in the 2023 Collegiate Series against Team Canada. After winning the first two in convincing fashion, Canada entered the final game with a two goal lead entering the third period, but it wasn't enough as USA staged a dramatic comeback to earn a 4-3 win to cap the series.
Madeline Palumbo got Canada on the board first burying a wrister from high in the slot in the opening frame, but Emma Peschel responded for USA taking a feed from below the goal line from Elyssa Biederman and beating Canada's Hanna Murphy low on the glove side.
In the second period, it was all Canada with Jade Iginla and Jocelyn Amos scoring.
Heading to the third period down two goals, the more veteran USA squad responded as Kiara Zanon one of the top scorers in the NCAA last season scored twice to tie the game before Kisten Simms took a feed from Casey O'Brien to put the game on ice.
