USA Hockey has named their Collegiate Select roster for the upcoming three game series against Canada in Lake Placid, New York.
The roster includes seven players returning from the team that beat Canada last summer including Annelies Bergmann (Cornell), Grace Dwyer (Cornell), Cassie Hall (Wisconsin), Vivian Jungels (Wisconsin), Sloane Matthews (Ohio State), Sydney Morrow (Minnesota), and Laney Potter (Wisconsin).
Morrow is one of seven players representing Team USA from the University of Minnesota. She's joined by Molly Jordan, Ava Lindsay, Maddie Kaiser, Jamie Nelson, Bella Fanale, and Layla Hemp.
Fanale is the only 2007 born player on USA's roster while Hemp, Rose Dwyer (Cornell), and Maggie Scannell (Wisconsin) are 2006 born players.
Rounding out Team USA for the Summer Series are Kelly Gorbatenko (Wisconsin), MaryKate O'Brien (Minnesota-Duluth), Julia Pellerin (Connecticut), JoJo Chobak (St. Cloud State), Kaia Malachino (Ohio State), Jules Constantinople (Northeastern), Lily Shannon (Northeastern), Lindzi Avar (Cornell), Elyssa Biederman (Colgate), and Casey Borgiel (Colgate).
2026 PWHL Draft Prospects Well Represented
For the second straight season, USA's Collegiate Select roster will include a strong representation of players set to enter the PWHL Draft. The team this year however, will not feature current members of USA's senior national team who remain in college as it did last year.
Among the top prospects for the 2026 PWHL Draft appearing for USA are Sydney Morrow, Jamie Nelson, Sloane Matthews, MaryKate O'Brien, JoJo Chobak, Lily Shannon, Maddie Kaiser, Grace Dwyer, Vivian Jungels, Casey Borgiel, and Jules Constantinople.
There are a number of American players still in college who will not take part in this roster but are expected to be top picks in 2026 including Abbey Murphy, Caroline Harvey, Laila Edwards, Tessa Janecke, Kirsten Simms, Lacey Eden, and Emma Peschel. Other members of USA's senior national team including Joy Dunne and Ava McNaughton were also omitted from the Collegiate Select team.
The teams will play a trio of games on August 13, 14 and 16 in Lake Placid, New York.
