
Team Canada named their 25 player roster for the first three games of the 2024-2025 Rivalry Series including the return of Claire Thompson, and national team debuts for Daryl Watts and Chloe Primerano.

Hockey Canada named their 25 player roster who will represent the Canadian senior national team for the first three games of the 2024-2025 Rivalrry Series against USA.
The list includes 21 players who won gold with Canada at the 2024 World Championships in Utica, New York. It also includes two players making their Canadian senior national team debuts in Daryl Watts and Chloe Primerano.
“The 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship is only six months away, and getting a look at our team and roster depth begins with these first three games,” said general manager Gina Kingsbury in a press release. “These teams know each other very well, but we still have an opportunity to build on what we worked on at September camp as we evaluate ourselves now and throughout the season.”
Sophie Shirley and Claire Thompson were the other two players who were not part of Canada's 2024 gold medal winning team, although Thompson has represented Canada at previous World Championship and Olympic competitions.
The returnees to Canada's roster include Erin Ambrose, Ashton Bell, Jaimie Bourbonnais, Kristen Campbell, Emily Clark, Anne-Renee Desbiens, Renata Fast, Sarah Fillier, Julia Gosling, Brianne Jenner, Jocelyn Larocque, Emma Maltais, Emerance Maschmeyer, Sarah Nurse, Kristin O’Neill, Marie-Philip Poulin, Jamie Lee Rattray, Danielle Serdachny, Ella Shelton, Laura Stacey, and Blayre Turnbull.
Absent from Canada's gold medal winning roster is Clarkson defender Nicole Gosling, who is the reigning NCAA goaltender of the year. Natalie Spooner who is continuing to rehab from offseason knee surgery is also absent from Canada's current lineup.
Game one of the Rivalry Series is scheduled to take place November 6 in San Jose. Game two goes November 8 in Utah, followed by game three in Boise, Idaho on November 10.
The final leg of the Rivalry Series crosses into Canada in February playing in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
