For the first time in hockey history, three women will enter the Hockey Hall of Fame in a single induction class. The 2025 Hockey Hall of Fame induction class will include Jennifer Botterill, Brianna Decker, and for the first time, a woman will enter the builders category as Daniele Sauvageau is set to be honored.

Botterill has been on the ballot the longest. The three-time Olympic gold medallist also won five gold medals at the World Championships representing Canada. She was the World Championship MVP twice winning the honor in 2001 and 2004.

"My heart is really full with this honor," Botterill told NHL.com. "I appreciate all of the people who have helped me through my career."

Decker, a member of Team USA and a recent inductee to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame won six World Championship gold medals and also helped USA win gold at the 2018 Olympics.

"I didn’t think I would ever get this call," Decker said. "To be part of the greats that built this game is truly something that is special. I am so thankful."

Sauvageau currently serves as the general manager of the PWHL's Montreal Victoire. She will be the first woman ever recognized as a Builder by the Hockey Hall off Fame. Sauvageau has long served as a coach and manager guiding Canada to their first ever Olympic gold medal in 2002.

"My parents have supported me throughout my career," Sauvageau said. "They taught me that perseverance, patience and passion are the key builders in life. I'm so proud to now be a Builder in the Hockey Hall of Fame."

The trio will be honored November 10 in Toronto alongside former NHLers Zdeno Chara, Joe Thornton, Duncan Keith, and Alexander Mogilny, who will also be inducted as players.
