Chloe Primerano opened the scoring on a wrist shot from the point that snuck through Alberta netminder Taya Christie. It was an extension of Primerano's five game goal streak from the BC blueline.
Minutes later, Hannah Dods added to British Columbia's lead sending the game to the third with BC leading 2-0.
On the powerplay, Claire Carruthers got Alberta on the board 4:24 into the third period, cutting British Columbia's lead in half.
With less than five minutes to go in the third however, the host would answer back on a powerplay of their own with Danica Maynard giving BC insurance.

Morgan Jackson finished the tournament as British Columbia's leading scorer with four goals and nine points in six games. Primerano was the tournament's leading goal scorer with six in six games, and eight points total.
