EA Sports released their top 10 ratings for women's netminders included in their NHL 24 video game.
Ann-Renee Desbiens, Aerin Frankel, and Nicole Hensley finished in a three-way tie as EA Sports' top women's hockey netminders for their NHL 24 game.
Each of the three national team netminders received 90 ratings.
Frankel was the gold medal winning goalie at the 2023 World Championships, while Desbiens won silver and was named the Directorate's top goaltender. Hensley lost her starting job as Team USA's starter to Frankel this season. Each of the three netminders will be in the PWHL this season as Desbiens and Frankel were signed by Montreal and Boston to three-year contracts respectively, while Hensley was the first netminder selected in the PWHL Draft by Minnesota.
Following the trio were Anni Keisela (89), Emerance Maschmeyer (89), Kristen Campbell (87), Sanni Ahola (87), Abby Levy (86), Emma Soderberg (85), and Andrea Braendli (84) to round out the top ten.
Soderberg was voted a 2023 IIHF World Championship All-Star and named Sweden's Player of the Year. Ranking Soderberg below Levy and Campbell is intriguing given the fact neither Campbell or Levy have ever played a game in an IIHF World Championship event, nor at the Olympics.
Braendli was Switzerland's starter last season and is currently playing in the SDHL, while Ahola and Keisala both play for Finland.
