NWHL founder and former commissioner Dani Rylan has been hired as a regional scout for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers.

The NHL's Edmonton Oilers are bringing in a name familiar to the women's hockey world as they have hired NWHL founder Dani Rylan as a regional scout.
Rylan, 36, founded the NWHL, which later became the PHF in 2015. Along with founding the league, she also served as commissioner, a role Ryland stepped down from in 2020.
As a player, Rylan competed at Northeastern University.
