    Paul Mara, who has served as the longtime head coach for the PHF's Boston Pride has been hired to a new role with the NHL's New York Rangers.

    Mara spent five seasons behind the bench for the Boston Pride, leading them to back-to-back Isobel Cup titles in 2021 and 2022.

    Now, the 12 year NHL veteran will move to a role as a player development assistant with the New York Rangers. Mara played three seasons with the New York Rangers being acquired late in the year from the Boston Bruins in 2006-2007 and playing the following two seasons with the Rangers.

    While playing for the Rangers, current New York general manager Chris Drury captained the team, and the duo were also teammates for Team USA at the 2003-2004 World Championships winning bronze.
