Taylor Heise has signed on as a brand ambassador for, and to utilize virtual reality hockey training through Sense Arena.
Taylor Heise is one of the best in the world, and she's looking to keep her edge in any way possible. That's why Heise is putting her name behind Sense Arena, a company specializing in cognitive virtual reality hockey training.
In one of the first new partnerships between a player and company following the PWHL Draft, Heise, who went first overall to Minnesota, will become a brand ambassador for Sense Arena.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Sense Arena and to use their VR tool to enhance my training as I start the next chapter of my career in the PWHL,” said Heise. “Throughout my life I haven’t always been able to train on the ice – especially when I was younger growing up in small town in Minnesota hours outside of the Twin Cities – so I know how valuable Sense Arena’s drills will be to help me visualize game situations and get puck touches in between practice sessions and games.”
Heise won gold in April with Team USA, and was a key contributor over the past several seasons at the University of Minnesota. She'll make her professional debut in January with Minnesota in the PWHL.
Sense Arena launched in 2018, creating virtual realty modules "specifically engineered to enhance read-and-react skills and cognitive performance for both skaters and goalies."
“We are extremely proud to team with Taylor and provide her with the benefits of using our groundbreaking VR hockey platform,” said Sense Arena founder and CEO, Bob Tetiva. “She is one of the top young players in hockey, and it is an honor to know our technology will keep her skills and mind sharp as she heads into the historic first season of the PWHL.”
Sense Arena has also partnered with USA Hockey, five NHL teams, and 14 NCAA men's and women's programs.
