Living Sisu Hockey League every summer brings together some of the biggest stars in women's hockey every summer for pro level 3-on-3 hockey.
Every week through the summer, players including Marie-Philip Poulin, Ann-Renee Desbiens, Ann-Sophie Bettez, Laura Stacey, Elizabeth Giguere and many others come together on the ice in the Living Sisu Hockey League (LSHL).
An elite 3-on-3 league based in Montreal, LSHL hopes to support women's hockey players in their offseason training.
"By offering a league for women with the same professional setup as the men, the LSHL wants to promote that hockey is for everyone and strives to showcase the exceptional talent of female athletes and prove that they deserve the same level of recognition and support," LSHL said in a news release.
LSHL also offers a professional men's loop featuring players such as Nick Suzuki (MTL), Devin Levi (BUF), Jonathan Huberdeau (CAL), Pierre-Luc Dubois (WIN), and Anthony Mantha (WAS).
On the women's side, the league has become a hotbed not only for national team members and professionals, but for top NCAA players looking to improve. Last summer, newly signed PHF rookies Gabrielle David, and Audrey-Anne Veillette, who will both be back again this season, were college hockey players in the league. This year, prospects including Ève Gascon and Emmy Fecteau will participate.
Profits from the league are donated to the Canadian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
The league plays every Monday night beginning in mid-June Hockey Etcetera in Montreal.
