Burr, 15, earned the honor leading the tournament in scoring with six goals and 12 points in six games, helping her Sabres advance to the gold medal game.
"It's unbelievable, at the beginning of the year I didn't think that this was even possible," Burr said of the award following Stoney Creek's semifinal win over the Northern Selects. "It's been unreal this whole time."
Burr scored a goal and added an assist in Stoney Creek's semifinal win.
According to Burr's coach Taylor Abbott, he's received calls from almost every NCAA Division I program inquiring about the 2007 born forward who graduates in 2025.
"Madison is the most offensively gifted player I've ever coached," said Abbott.
"Madison Burr can put a puck into a small area...incredibly gifted with the puck and her vision," he continued. "Not only can she score, but she's made some really nice plays. She's a kid you just want her to have the puck."
This season, the five-foot-seven, Paris, Ontario product scored 62 goals and 114 in 70 games with Stoney Creek. She also saw time with Stoney Creek's OWHL U22 Elite team, where Burr will undoubtedly advance to next season.
Former MVP's of the tournament include Michela Cava, who won an Isobel Cup title this year with the Toronto Six, where she earned playoff MVP honors, former USports player of the year and PWHPA champion with Team Harvey's Alex Poznikoff, and first team WCHA All-Star and Patty Kazmaier winner with Wisconsin Sophie Shirley.
After the semifinal game, North Selects standout Kendall Doiron was named Most Sportsmanlike.
