    The PWHL has announced their draft eligibility list for the 2024 draft and, amongst the 167 eligible players, representing 19 different countries, nine have ties to Ottawa. Let’s learn more about these players ahead of the 2024 PWHL Draft.

    Kayle Osborne (G)

    The only Ottawa born goalie on this list, Osborne played at Colgate University and after four years, holds a career 1.64 GAA and a .927 SV%.

    Katherine Birkby (F)

    Played in 101 games for the University of Ottawa, scoring 40 points, carried a career +10 plus/minus and is a 3x USports Academic All-Canadian.

    Christine Deaudelin (D)

    This left-shot defender was born in Beloeil, Quebec and played five seasons with the University of Ottawa, including captaining in her final season. Over her five seasons in Ottawa, she amassed 41 points in 72 games.

    Darcie Lappan (F)

    Born in Kingston, Lappan, who attended both Colgate and Clarkson Universities, played a season in 2016-17 with the Ottawa Lady Senators, where she amassed 16 points in 38 games.

    Brooke McQuigge (F)

    The sister of PWHL Ottawa goaltender Rachel McQuigge finished this season after playing five years at Clarkson, amassing 111 points in 162 games.

    Abygail Moloughney (F)

    Born in Ottawa, Moloughney attended Syracuse University, where she scored 105 points in 128 games before returning to Ottawa and playing for the Ottawa Gee Gees, scoring 27 points in 24 games. She spent this past season in the SDHL playing for MoDo Hockey, amassing 10 points in 33 games.

    Dara Greig (F)

    The sister of Ridly Greig of the Ottawa Senators attended Colgate University, where she amassed 121 points in 118 games.

    Mae Batherson (D)

    The sister of Ottawa Senators’ forward Drake Batherson is a left-shot defender who graduated from Syracuse University, where she scored 61 points in 122 games before moving to St. Lawrence University this past season, amassing 37 points in 39 games.

    Ariane Minville (D)

    Born in Mascouche, Que, Minville is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, where she scored 12 points in 49 games, though that includes the pandemic year in which no games were played.

    Aoi Shiga (D)

    The sister of PWHL Ottawa forward Akane Shiga has a long history playing for Japan internationally, and this past season with the Ladies Team Lugano, where she amassed 6 points in 12 games. Between both three junior and senior international programs, Shiga has scored a total of 16 points in 65 games.

    Grace Tam (D)

    The 5’7” defender from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is a graduate of the University of Alberta where she amassed 9 points in 66 games. Tam played one season in Ottawa in 2019-20, playing in 16 games for Carleton University.
