Playing for Edge School in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL), Jennifer Keller is quietly emerging as a player to watch.

As a first year high school student, Keller scored an impressive 15 goals and 30 points in 28 games.

The five-foot-seven Airdrie, Alberta product has been selected to play in two straight Alberta Challenge events, a select tournament featuring the top 120 U-18 players in the province, streaming these players toward provincial team selection.

According to her head coach at Edge, Annette Jensen, Keller brings a blend of personality and skill to the school's program.

"Jenny is a player that everyone adores, she is a great teammate who wants everyone around her to do well and will go out of her way to help them," said Jensen.

"She is a very skilled player from her skating to her shot and hands. Jenny elevates everyone around her and creates a fun environment while doing it. Her maturity and ability to manage stress from her pitching days sets her a part, along with her size and exceptional strength."

As a 2008 born player, Keller has another year before she can actively be recruited by NCAA and USports programs, but given her success this season, she looks like a player who will draw considerable interest.

Edge School continues to produce top women's hockey talent with alumni including Brooke Disher, Sarah Wozniewicz, and Kelly Murray. Edge's men's program has also been highly successful advancing close to a dozen players to the NHL.
