Alexia Aubin has achieved everything a player can prior to making the step to the NCAA. The Stanstead College star has twice represented Team Canada at the U-18 World Championships, twice winning gold.

At those tournaments, she totalled eight points in 11 games for Canada. With one season of development left at Stanstead before making the jump to play NCAA hockey for Colgate, Aubin is one of the top prospects in Canada, and will be a player watched by Canada's senior national team in the coming years.

"Alexia Aubin is a dynamic power forward who attacks full throttle with and without the puck," said Stanstead coach Bernie Pimm.

"She does everything really well, starting with being a powerful skater who gets in hard on the forecheck, creating turnovers on a consistent basis. With the puck, Alexia uses her strength and edges to maintain possession of the puck in high traffic areas. As a primary play-maker, she is a fountain of offense on the attack and in the offensive zone, often initiating creative plays that lead to quality scoring chances for herself and others. A true competitor, when the game is on the line, she is a shark on the attack, developing a track record for scoring key goals in big games. Alexia continues to learn how to become one of the most complete players by getting better every day at face-offs and down low in the defensive zone."

It's high praise for Aubin, who had 38 points in 40 games last season at Stanstead.

    The praise however, is deserved.
