When you set the new all-time single-season league scoring record, it turns heads. That's exactly what Kahlen Lamarche did in 2022-2023 playing for the OWHL U22 Elite's Mississauga Hurricanes.

Lamarche averaged 1.95 points per game recording 46 goals and 82 points in the season, both records. The previous record was held by another Mississauga Hurricanes alumni and Patty Kazmaier winner as the NCAA's top player Daryl Watts. Following her NCAA career, Watts signed a record breaking $150,000 per season contract with the PHF's Toronto Six.

Next season, Lamarche will play NCAA Division I hockey for the Quinnipiac Bobcats.

An invitee to Canada's U-18 selection camp last summer, Lamarche didn't make the final roster, but she did join Team Ontario at the Canada Winter Games helping her province win a bronze medal.
