Linda Vocetková, 16, is one of the top prospects coming out of Czechia. Her time with the senior national team is coming quickly, and Vocetková will play in the SDHL next season.

One of the top young players in Czechia, Linda Vocetková, will take her game to Sweden next season to play with Djurgårdens in the SDHL.

Vocetková, a 2007 product will be a sought after NCAA recruit next year after putting on offensive displays for Czechia at both the U-18 World Championships and European Youth Olympics. According to her new club, Djurgårdens, Vocetková, 16, brings a lot to the ice packaged in her five-foot-nine frame.

"Linda is a classic power forward, who will energize the group," said Djurgårdens sports manager Johan Schillgard. "She is a player who competes and who wants to develop by trying games in another country and another league."

Playing U-15 boys hockey in Czechia last year, Vocetková notched 32 points in 21 games. She also added 14 points in 12 regular season games, and 12 in four playoff contests in Czechia's top women's league with HC Příbram.

Representing Czechia at the U-18 World Championships, Vocetková scored five points in five games as a 15-year-old at the tournament, and led the European Youth Olympics in goals and plus/minus. She totalled six goals and 11 points in only four games for the gold medal winning Team Czechia.

Looking at Czechia's global development in women's hockey, the nation is on the rise and Vocetková is one of the country's top prospects.
