Stanstead College has become a hotbed for hockey prospects. On the women's side, alumni include 18 current NCAA Division I players, Czech national team member Michaela Pejzlova, and recent PHF signee and All-Canadian Audrey-Anne Veillette, as well as other members of the PHF and PWHPA.

The 2022-2023 Stanstead roster also included Canadian U-18 national team members Karel Prefontaine and Alexia Aubin, as well as Hungarian senior national team member Emma Kreisz.

It's a star studded program, including one of the next big names in women's hockey, Maxim Tremblay.

Last season, the 2006 born Tremblay finished third in team scoring trailing only 2004 born Karel Prefonataine and 2003 born Emma Kreisz. She totalled 39 goals and 63 points in only 48 games.

Her efforts earned Tremblay a commitment to play NCAA Division I hockey for Colgate.

"Maxim Tremblay is quickly becoming one of the more prolific goal scorers in the country," said Stanstead coach Bernie Pimm.

Tremblay added five goals in six games finishing as Team Quebec's leading scorer at the Canada Winter Games.

"Tremblay continues to learn how to assert herself as an impact player who loves to compete hard on a consistent basis," said Pimm.

"Maxim is versatile forward who can play both wing and center. In special teams situations, Max uses her reach and compete to dominate on the penalty kill. On the power-play, she is a multi-dimensional threat who can score from anywhere on the ice."

Returning to Stanstead next season, the five-foot-nine forward will be one of the most dangerous, and hotly watched prospects in the JWHL, and is a likely candidate for Canada's U-18 national team.
