Morgan Jackson, a member of Canada's U-18 national team and Shawnigan Lake of the CSSHL is a top Canadian prospect to watch.

One of the top scorers in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), Morgan Jackson is a prospect to watch this season.
The 2006 born Courtenay, British Columbia product was a standout last year for the CSSHL's Shawnigan Lake where she scored 25 goals and 58 points in only 26 games before adding 11 in five playoff games.
Jackson was also a member of Canada's gold medal winning U-18 World Championship roster.
"Morgan is a superb student-athlete," said Carly Haggard, Shawnigan's U-18 women's hockey head coach. "Her work ethic and dedication are truly outstanding. If she’s not in the gym, she’s studying. Her drive to be better is what makes her special. She is constantly looking for feedback to improve."
Last season was Jackson's first at Shawnigan Lake. She was the only Vancouver Island resident to make Canada's U-18 team having played in the British Columbia U-18 'AAA' women's loop the year prior with the Vancouver Island Seals where she scored more than a point per game.
"Even though Morgan has only been at Shawnigan Lake School for a year she has already left her mark. She makes people around her want to be better which is a trait only true leaders posses," said Haggard.
On the ice, her leadership and skating are aspects of Jackson's game that are difficult to miss.
"One thing that sets her apart on the ice is her skating and ability to score," said Haggard. "Her powerful stride and explosiveness make her dynamic. We couldn’t be more proud of Morgan and I feel very fortunate to coach her and be a part of her amazing journey - which she is only just beginning on."
Morgan Jackson will return to Shawnigan next season, and is eligible to return to Canada's U-18 roster.
