Raphaëlle Tousignant made history as the first Canadian woman ever to play at the men's World Para Ice Hockey Championship.

Raphaëlle Tousignant's appearance on day two of the 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan was historic. She became the first woman to ever appear for Canada's national men's para ice hockey team.
Canada opened their tournament against Korea in the eight team tournament.
Earlier this month, Tousignant was named to Canada's roster after appearing with Canada's Development Team competing against USA. Edmonton's Alanna Mah was also part of the Development Team, but did not make Canada's final roster.
Tousignant played her first game with Canada in a dominating 15-1 win over Korea.
Tousignant, a forward, who plays her club para ice hockey for Transat de Montréal, is the fourth woman all-time to play at this level as Norway's Britt Mjaasund Oyen and Lena Schrøder as well as China's Jing Yu all competed in the Paralympics with their nation's men's teams.
