The Regina Rebels beat the North York Storm 2-1 in the gold medal game to capture the 2024 Esso Cup as Canada's U-18 club national champions.

After a scoreless first period, Berlin Lolacher, who was named the tournament's Best Forward scored the opener. The goal was Lolacher's tournament leading ninth. Less than three minutes later in the second, Stryker Zablocki scored to give Regina a 2-0 lead, in what would eventually stand as the game winning goal.

North York scored on the power play in the third to pull within one, but Regina shut the door and captured gold after winning the bronze last year.

Regina Rebels forward Stryker Zablocki was named tournament MVP tying Lolacher with 10 points in six games for the tournament lead.

The Edmonton Jr. Oilers won bronze earlier in the day beating the host Okanagan-Thompson Lakers 1-0 in overtime on a Layla Matthews goal.

Edmonton's Ciara Lang was named the tournament's Best Defender, while Jorja Burrows of the Northern Selects was named Best Goaltender, Sydney Bowness of North York was named Most Sportsmanlike, and Lily Roberts of Okanagan-Thompson was awarded the Esso Cup Scholarship.
