Continuing to prepare for a 2025 World Championship, the second ever women's World Para Ice Challenge returns to Green Bay this summer.

After a successful first event a year ago, World Para Ice Hockey has announced the second Women's World Challenge will be returning to Green Bay, Wisconsin this summer.
The event is in preparation for the inaugural women's World Championships scheduled for 2025.
“After a very successful inaugural event which encouraged more women to take up our sport, World Para Ice Hockey is excited to bring back the Women’s World Challenge to Green Bay,” said Michelle Laflamme, World Para Ice Hockey Manager in a news release.
“This event has already created more opportunities for women to take up Para ice hockey, and the long-term benefits of making this an annual affair are endless. We are looking forward to having more athletes and teams join us this year in Green Bay.”
The event, which will take place from August 31 to September 3 will feature teams from Canada, USA, Great Britain, Team Europe, and Team Asia.
At the first event last year, USA won the tournament going undefeated, including defeating Canada in the final. Team World took bronze. Team Europe and Team Asia are new entries in the competition this year. Last year, in addition to Canada, USA, and Great Britain, there was a Team World.
“The greater Green Bay area is excited to once again be hosting the Women's World Challenge,” said Brad Roethlisberger, Chair of the Local Organising Committee. “Last year’s event created a lot of excitement and exposure for the sport and female athletes. We look forward to building upon last year’s success to promote Para ice hockey to the entire world."
