PWHL Ottawa and PWHL Boston played their stop on the PWHL Takeover Weekend at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit in front of an American record crowd of 13,736.

The previous record had been set by PWHL Minnesota at their home opener when 13,316 fans attended.

The all-time record is currently 19,285 set at the Battle on Bay Street between PWHL Toronto and PWHL Montreal at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

It's likely the all-time record will fall again on April 20 when Montreal hosts Toronto at the 21,000 seat Bell Centre in Montreal.

The second half of the PHWL's Takeover Weekend will drop the puck tomorrow between Montreal and Toronto at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
