The 2025 PWHL Draft is in the books from the first overall pick going to the New York Sirens in Kristyna Kaltounkova, to the final pick of the day heading to PWHL Vancouver in Chanreet Bassi.
Here's a look at the 2025 PWHL Draft results, by the numbers.
- Players from seven different nations were selected in the draft including 24 from USA, 16 from Canada, two each from Russia, Czechia and Finland, and one from Germany and Sweden.
- Positionally, 12 defenders were chosen, five goalies, and 31 forwards
- Of the 48 total players selected, 43 came from the NCAA, two were from the SDHL, two were from the ZhHL, and one was from U Sports.
- The New York Sirens made the most selections picking nine players, while Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto made the fewest picking five players each.
- The Ohio State Buckeyes were the top NCAA program represented with six players selected from their team. Minnesota-Duluth came a close second with five players chosen.
- Three trades occurred during the night involving four players and six draft picks.
- The oldest player selected in the 2025 PWHL Draft was 35-year-old Michelle Karvinen, while the youngest player selected was 21-year-old Vanessa Upson. She was one of four 21-year-old players picked, but her November 18 birthday means she's the only player who will enter camp next season as a 21-year-old.
- The tallest players in the PWHL Draft were 5-foot-11. This group included Rory Guilday and Emma Gentry, while 5-foot-3 players like Makenna Webster, Jenna Buglioni, and Natalie Mlynkova were the smallest.
