

Anne Cherkowski is a 200-foot player who should thrive in the PWHL. She projects as a late first round, or second round pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft.
The Clarkson leader, who was also a key member of Canada's national development team, and also has seen time at the Rivalry Series in recent years, plays with pace.
In a checking role, Cherkowski is responsible and has a good stick and motor to drive play and generate chances off the forecheck. The ability to transform her game to a a checking style will serve her well in the PWHL.
Cherkwoski makes calculated decisions with the puck keeping it out of harms way. She can use her speed to attack off the rush, but often changes pace following her entry getting to the middle of the ice and looking for teammates. She sees the ice well as a playmaker.
With Clarkson, Cherkowski was often used up high on the power play generating chances sliding toward the right circle, and also attacking off the high cycle to shed coverage.
While the British Columbia product can make an impact defensively and in a checking role, she has a distinct offensive upside that should see her get opportunities in a top six in the PWHL next season. Cherkowski scored 45 points in 40 games this season for the Golden Knights.
Prior to the NCAA she twice represented Canada at the U-18 World Championships winning gold and silver.
Cherkowski projects to have a similar impact in the PWHL to a player like Jennifer Gardiner this season.
