Aerin Frankel was the difference in game one of the PWHL semi-finals series between Boston and Montreal as the PWHL Boston netminder made 52 saves in an overtime win.

There are likely many nightmares goaltenders could dream up. Facing more shots than any goaltender in the PWHL has all season on the opening night of playoffs is certainly one of those.

Aerin Frankel however, turned the nightmare into a dream performance stopping 53 shots in Boston's series opening 2-1 overtime win over Montreal.

Following the World Championships, Aerin Frankel was one of the league's hottest goaltenders in the PWHL posting four wins and a 0.943 save percentage in those four starts. In game one of the playoffs, her 0.981 save percentage upped the ante yet again.

Frankel not only made the easy saves, but she also make several stretching and diving desperation saves in the game.

At the other end of the ice, Montreal's Ann-Renee Desbiens made 24 saves but could not stop Susanna Tapani's tap in winner in OT.
