Two-time PHF goaltender Amanda Leveille has re-signed with the PHF's Minnesota Whitecaps for one year.

The Minnesota Whitecaps announced the signing of lone time starting goaltender  Amanda Leveille. Her contract is a one-year, $62,500 deal.

Leveille is one of the most decorated netminders in the game today as a two-time PHF Goaltender of the Year, two-time Isobel Cup champion, and three-time NCAA champion.

“My decision to re-sign with the Whitecaps for the sixth time was an easy one,” Leveille said in a team press release. “I believe in this team (and) its future and I wanted to be a part of it. Being a Whitecap is and has always been an honor. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to put on the jersey and play another season.”

Last season Leveille posted a 2.43 goals against average and .923 save percentage. Both marks trailed only PHF Rookie and Goalie of the Year Corinne Schroeder. In the playoffs however, Leveille got the better of Schroeder helping her Minnesota Whitecaps sweep the Boston Pride in the opening round of playoffs.

“It was a no-brainer to try and bring Amanda back! She is the face of the organization and she is a high competitor that will do whatever it takes to win,” Whitecaps general manager Chi-Yin Tse said. “I know that Lev will continue to push her teammates into Season 9.”

The signing of Leveille brings the Whitecaps' roster up to nine players for the 2023-2024 PHF season. The team has signed, or had agree to two-year deals last season with Brittyn Fleming, Brooke Bryant, Olivia Knowles, Ashleigh Brykaliuk, Anna Klein, Ronja Mogren, Amanda Boulier and Sidney Morin.
