Ottawa grabbed NCAA defender Ashton Bell 8th overall in the PWHL Draft.
The offensive defender scored 33 points in 39 games this season while captaining Minnesota-Duluth. A smooth skating defender, Bell is a former WCHA Defender of the Year.
She's an Olympic gold medalist and has two World Championship gold medals playing for Team Canada's senior national team.
Bell joins Savannah Harmon as the second defender chosen by Ottawa.
