The first quarter of the PWHL's inaugural season is in the books, and attendance levels are staying strong, and in some cases, growing.

With 22 of the league's 72 game season done, the league is averaging 4848 fans per game across the board.

This week, PWHL Montreal set a new Canadian professional women's hockey attendance record welcoming 8646 fans to Place Bell in Laval. They beat Ottawa's record setting home opener where they drew 8318 to TD Place Arena.

Minnesota leads all teams in average attendance this season with 7743. They currently hold the record for largest attendance at a women's pro hockey game drawing 13316 to their home opener.

Following Minnesota in attendance average are Ottawa (6362), Montreal (5364), Boston (4026), Toronto (2487), and New York (2248).

Despite Toronto sitting near the bottom of the PWHL standings, they have a chance to set the new world record for attendance on February 16 when they host Montreal for the "Battle of Bay Street" at Scotiabank Arena where they could bring in 18,800 fans.
