Theresa Schafzahl has signed a two-year contract with the PWHL's Boston franchise. The Austrian star recently finished her NCAA campaign captaining the University of Vermont.

Vermont's all-time points leader, Schafzahl scored 21 goals and 45 points in 36 games last season for the program.

Prior to signing in Boston, who selected her in the seventh round, 39th overall in the PWHL Draft, Schafzahl had signed a two-year contract to play for the PHF's Montreal Force. Then Force president Kevin Raphael said Schafzahl "is an exceptional player. Her shot is blistering and her leadership is impressive for her age. She has the size, strength, and abilities to impact the game..."

Boston recently completed signing their six guaranteed three-year contracts, and continue to add talent to their roster.

Schafzahl has represented Austria at five World Championships but did not compete for her country this summer.
