The Battle on Bay Street will be the highest ever attended game of women's hockey at the professional level...or Rivalry Series, or Olympics, or World Championships. It's a groundbreaking day in women's hockey.

The PWHL has broken many attendance records this season, and tonight's Battle on Bay Street will break another, as the PWHL game between Toronto and Montreal at the 18,800 seat Scotiabank Arena sold out almost instantly.
The attendance mark will break every professional women's hockey record, and it will also break World Championship and Olympic Games attendance records for women.
Not only will it break Montreal's Canadian attendance record of 8,646, and Minnesota's world record for professional women's hockey of 13,316, the game will also surpass the Rivalry Series attendance record of 14,551 set in Seattle in 2022, and it will also surpass the World Championships record of 18,014 set in Ottawa in 2013 and the Olympic Games record of 16,805 set in Vancouver in 2010.
Heading into the monumental game, Toronto has won their last three games, and also managed to win their lone match up against Toronto this season. A win for Montreal would vault them back into first overall in the PWHL. A regulation win for Toronto would tie them at second overall with Montreal.
