The Boston Fleet have activated defender Hadley Hartmetz from the long-term injured reserve list.

Hartmetz has yet to play a game in the PWHL after being selected in the 7th round, 40th overall in the 2024 PWHL Draft.

It's expected Hartmetz will make her PWHL debut tonight against the Montreal Victoire on home ice.

“Hadley is an exciting add to our d-core,” said Boston Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer at the time the team originally signed her in November 2024. “She fits nicely into our physical, hard defending style, while also providing transportability and offensive involvement. She brings a competitiveness and work ethic that will push her teammates and make us better. We're fortunate to be in Boston where we have access to the best medical resources to allow Hadley to not only recover but to continue her development, so she comes back even stronger than before.”

Last season Hartmetz played for the NCAA national champion Ohio State Buckeyes. The 23-year-old Phoenixville, PA product played five seasons of NCAA hockey including two with Boston College, and three at Ohio State. Last season she recorded a career high 33 points in 39 games.

Prior to the NCAA, Hartmetz won gold and silver with USA's U-18 national team at the U-18 World Championships.

Hartmetz was injured in March 2024. She suffered a lower body injury. After a year off the ice, Hartmetz is set to make her professional debut.
