PWHL Boston remains undefeated in the postseason claiming game one of the PWHL Finals beating Minnesota 4-3.

It didn't take PWHL Minnesota long to get on the board in game one of the PWHL finals. In their opening round series against Toronto, Minnesota was shutout in two straight games to open their series.

Only 4:38 into the game, Michaela Cava took a backhand feed from Taylor Heise before walking the puck behind Boston's goal and wrapping the puck around beating Aerin Frankel.

Boston however, answered soon thereafter as Susanna Tapani found the back of the net for her first regulation goal of the playoffs. Tapani scored a pair of overtime winners in the opening round of the PWHL playoffs for Boston. Tapani collected a rebound off an Emily Brown point shot and backhanded the puck to the left corner of the net beating Maddie Rooney to tie the game at 1-1.

In the second period, Cava returned the favor to Heise finding Heise in the high slot. Heise walked in and ripped a wrist shot high over Frankel's glove to make it 2-1. The play started by a board battle with Kendall Coyne Schofield and Mellissa Channell fighting the puck free to Cava.

The game opened up following that moment with the teams combining for four goals in less than five minutes later in the frame.

Taylor Wenczkowski started it off scoring from the slot followed less than two and a half minutes later by Hannah Brandt scoring to flip the score from a Minnesota lead to a 3-2 Boston lead.

Less than two minutes after that Taylor Heise scoed her second of the game to again tie the game, but only 15 seconds after that a floating shot from Jess Healey at the point evaded Rooney to give Boston a 4-3 lead heading into the third period.

The final frame saw both goaltenders settle in with PWHL Boston holding on for a 4-3 win.
