Haley Winn added a year to her tenure with the PWHL's Boston Fleet as the team locked in the PWHL Rookie of the Year winner and Defender of the Year nomineee.

The Boston Fleet have signed one of the best defenders on the planet, Haley Winn, to a contract extension that will now keep the American national team member in Boston through the 2028-29 season.

Winn, 23,  today, had signed a three-year deal prior to her rookie campaign, but added an additional season.

After scoring 19 points in 30 games and leading the league in time on ice averaging 26:45 per game this season, Winn was named the PWHL Rookie of the Year and was a finalist for PWHL Defender of the Year.

The Clarkson grad won Olympic gold for USA with four points in seven games.
