    Loren Gabel is staying in Boston after the PWHL Boston franchise selected the PHF superstar 22nd overall in the fourth round of the PWHL Draft.

    Gabel is the reigning PHF MVP scoring 40 points in 22 games last season with the Boston Pride. She was also named the PHF Newcomer of the Year and PHF All-Star MVP.

    In 2019 Gabel won a bronze medal with Canada at the World Championships, scoring six goals and seven points in seven games.

    Gabel also won the 2019 Patty Kazmaier Award as the NCAA's top player after scoring 40 goals and 69 points in 38 games for Clarkson. She helped Clarkson win back-to-back NCAA national titles in 2017 and 2018. She was also back-to-back ECAC MVP in 2018 and 2019.

    Following her NCAA career, the 26-year-old Kitchener, Ontario product spent three seasons in the PWHPA before joining the PHF last season.
