The Boston Pride nabbed the Toronto Six's leading scorer from last season Brittany Howard for two-years.
Howard led the Toronto Six in scoring last season recording 16 goals and 26 points in 20 games before adding four points in four playoff games en route to winning an Isobel Cup championship.
“I am thrilled to be a member of the Pride! Boston has a rich history in sports and tradition - I can’t wait to be part of that history,” said Howard in a press release. “I am so excited to get to Boston, meet the Pride faithful, and start working with my teammates towards winning another Isobel Cup."
Prior to joining the Six, Howard spent three seasons in the PWHPA and a season with the Toronto Furies of the CWHL after her NCAA career. Howard spent fives seasons at Robert Morris University twice earning CHA Player of the Year honors and earning a Patty Kazmaier nomination. She finished her NCAA career with 181 points in 138 games.
"We are very excited to welcome Howard to our team and play with her instead of against her. She is an elite competitor at every level, and we know she will fit right into our line-up." said Boston Pride general manager Maddie Rigsby. "Her hockey sense and ability to read the ice is unmatched, and we look forward to watching her be a strong part of our offense."
Howard joins a dynamic offensive attack in Boston which already features veterans Jillian Dempsey and Loren Gabel, as well as newcomers Alina Muller, Sophie Shirley, Chloe Aurard, and Gabrielle David.
Howard and Gabel showed incredible chemistry at the PHF All-Star game playing for Team Canada. The duo had played together in the PWHPA.
