PWHL Ottawa fans can rejoice as Czech forward Katerina Mrazova beat the deadline to re-sign with PWHL Ottawa prior to hitting the open market.

The Hockey News has confirmed Mrazova will be staying in Ottawa on a two-year contract with Ottawa.

The 31-year-old center finished tied for 9th in PWHL scoring last season with 18 points in 23 games. She played on a line with Brianne Jenner and Daryl Watts that became one of the top groups in the league.

Mrazova missed the 2024 World Championships due to an injury suffered in a pre-tournament game.

Mrazova was originally an 8th round pick, 44th overall in the 2023 PWHL Draft.
